The border has Warli style human figures in a colorful presentation. The man playing a hand drum is also a Warli man in his ethnic attire. Warli tribal villages are found in the mountainous and coastal areas of Gujarat and Maharashtra border. The Warli art is based on simple geometric shapes such as triangles and circles. It is done with rice paste on mud walls. The Dhol is their hand drum played in festivals and fairs. Also, it is common for men to wear earrings, necklace, pendent and other jewels. The common subjects of such paintings are household and farming activities. These paintings are found on the walls of almost every house.
