Agriculture is the main occupation in most of the Indian tribes. Kondas, Gond, Gadabas, Abhor, Khampti and almost every tribal community depends on agriculture. Women work in the fields and also sing along their folklore. Sowing and harvesting paddy is particularly a pink collar job here. The above piece of art shows such women in their traditional attire, mostly a wrapped around cloth and a scarf worn on the head. This is mostly found in the tribes of Orissa, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Arunachal Pradesh. This art also has a colorful detailed border and the contents showing the basket, tools and other common features.
