In several parts of the Indian subcontinent, the nomadic tribes regularly hunt wildlife for skin, flesh, horns and bones. Gilhara, Badiya and Jogis are a few among them who also trade their catch. This piece of art is inspired by such tribes. Hunting is a community activity where several members of the tribe, both men and women, participate. They use their own weapons such as bows, arrows and javelins to scare, chase and hit the prey. Forests in the Indian plains have broad leaved trees that serve both as a shade from the scorching summer sun and forage for the wildlife. The border of the art follows a typical Indian style, based on triangles and diagonal lines.
