Flourishing across the banks of River Sabarmati, the Gujarati city Ahmedabad holds both historic and modern treasures in its core. Its crown jewel – Sabarmati Ashram, once the humble residence of Mahatma Gandhi, was the inception point of Dandi March and other Gandhian movements of Indian Independence.  The Kankaria Lake, Bhadra Fort, Sidi Sayed Mosque, Jama Masjid, and Teen Darwaza are gorgeous structures with intricate Persian artistry dating back to the 15th century. The Space Application Centre of ISRO and Indian Institute of Management are both notable organisations of national importance. The Auto World Vintage Car Museum exhibits an impressive collection of vintage four-wheelers and two-wheelers. The city is criss-crossed by many progressive landmarks.
